who is tootzzi?
tootzzi is the creation of Sunshine Coast-based designer, Melinda Hall. The name, derived from one of her many nicknames, says it all: accessories for the fashion fanatic! The branding...well...her pet sausage dog had something to do with that. Melinda in a nutshell... "My mum, mixed-media artist and my inspiration, introduced me to art and craft at a very young age...longer than I can remember. One of my fondest memories was when we used to work into the late hours of the night preparing for weekend markets. Over the years I have played around with various types of jewellery that I have enjoyed making for friends, family and myself. With thanks to my dad's determined- and headstrong-genes, I have found the confidence to pursue my dream and launch my label "tootzzi". I've been itching for something a little more expressive and enjoyable, to take me away from the monotonous trend of working life. tootzzi has been my vice! It's early days in tootzzi terms (commenced January 2010), however, it has been a breath of fresh air...a blank canvas to go crazy with! " tootzzi's contemporary accessories target fashionably adventurous females, and guys too, aged 20 -45. However, anyone with a bit of pizzazz will appreciate the work of tootzzi. POLICY: No two pieces are the same!! The underlying principle of tootzzi is that no two pieces are the same! Once a collection has been made, it will never be repeated. Each item is uniquely identified so people know that they are getting a special little piece of tootzzi. tootzzi's current form: "RESIN" works with polymer clay and incorporates various media like: recycled metals, flora and lace.
